Challenge Update

Attached are the latest Historic/Targa and Driver/Navigator Challenge tables together with photo’s courtesy of Tony North.

Sunday 23rd October saw Wigton Motor Club organise the next round of the 2022 NESCRO Challenge. There were a total of 37 starters (18 Historic/19 Targa), who tackled the 16 tests.

Winners in the Historic's were the Irish crew of Noel Cochrane/Oly McCollum (Ford Escort Mk1). Four seconds behind were Geoff Hall/Paul Bosdet (Vauxhall Nova Sport), 3rd Historic were Alex Willan/Paul Taylor (BMW E30). In the Targa section Barry Lindsay/Martyn Petry (Peugeot 206) took the top place and also had the lowest penalty overall, a slim 2 seconds less than the Historic winners. Second Targa was awarded to Daniel Place/Alan Place (Peugeot 309) 12 seconds behind, and a further 7 seconds back, in 3rd, were Bob Hargreaves/Paul Mount (BMW Compact). There were no official retirements.
